First, the students of our school were informed about the project by giving them key words(both in Greek and English),talking about the countries participating, showing pictures of their as to become familiar with the title of the project .Then they were asked to draw and create  logos related to the project's theme,the best drawings had been chosen .On the first meeting in Castelcovati, Italy 3 logos from each country competed for the logo of the partnership.The Portuguese logo was chosen.

Title of workshop: School Presentation

Students involved : 5th and 6th class. Total number: 35 students.

Integrated methodologies: brainstorming, cooperative learning.

Artifact: video .


  • Exercise in group work and collaborate.
  • Use of ICT in order to produce multimedia product.


First step: brainstorming. Students were gathered together and had a discussion about the first task “make a presentation of our school” which would be presented to our European partners during the first meeting in Italy.

Second step: group work. Students were divided into small groups and took up different tasks. Take photos, find images from the web related to the history of our region, work on the computer using media tools ( powerpoint ,windows movie maker ,youtube) .Find information on the internet about how to insert English subtitles and music to the video. Presentation of the information in class. Find solutions and make decisions about the outcome of the product.

Finally , there was an assessment of the course of work and the final product ,through a questionnaire that was handed out to the students involved.

The first task of the Erasmus + project was done. The students made a video presenting our school

Our school,4ο Dimotiko Sholeio Edessas, is a morning primary school with 107 pupils from 6 to 12 years old. It is located in the second settlement of Edessa, at the northern entrance of the city and occupies two floors in 2 buildings. The main building was built in 1930, while the second building, which houses 2 classrooms and an all -day school, a multipurpose room and several utility rooms, is a modern building which was built in 2008. A normal school-day starts at 8.15 and finishes at 13:15.Then only pupils we wish, attend  the  all-day school with longer hours and an enriched curriculum ,till 16:15p.m. Priority is given to children of working parents and to remedial teaching for pupils with learning difficulties.

1st transnational meeting in Italy (24-28 October 2016).

The first official transnational meeting between the coordinators of each  school(Poland, Greece, Portugal, England ) was held by the Istituto Comprensivo «MARTIN LUTHER KING» Castelcovati near the city of Chiari,Italy(the coordinator of the project). Each partner school was represented by two teachers.

The purpose of the meeting was to organize the project in every detail. The meeting focused on the following issues:

  • The partners planned all the appropriate activities that are to be carried out during the project and they also agreed upon the results that are expected upon the completion of the project. Furthermore, they defined and agreed upon the tasks and the responsibilities of each partner.
  • The date of the next meeting in Poland  was confirmed.
  • The project logo was selected from the work done by students from the above countries.
  • There were presentations (videos/slides) of all partner schools.
  • We organized all the actions which will take place before and during the next meeting in Poland on April 2017 .During these five days, except from working hard on project tasks, we had the opportunity to tour around the area, to enjoy Italian  food, to meet and discuss with several teachers and students and generally we came in contact with the Italian culture and  civilization.
